Constructive Rest

  1. Start lying on the back with knees bent, feet grounded, and arms extended by the sides with palms facing up.
  2. Place feet slightly wider than the hips and drop knees toward center to support each other.
  3. Take hands to Triangle Mudra by touching the sides of the index fingers and tips of the thumbs to make a triangle. Place Triangle Mudra on the lower belly, with thumbs underlining the navel and fingertips pointing to the pubic bone.
  4. Now, breathe naturally. Listen to your breath. If your mind wanders, try equalizing your breath. Inhale for two counts and exhale for two counts. Continue this process of counting your inhales and exhales for 5 minutes, twice a day. Gradually add time.
